Happy Birthday Sridevi: Rare Pictures of 'English Vinglish' Actress

Bollywood's yesteryear actress Sridevi celebrates her 52^nd birthday on 13 August. The diva is aging like a bottle of wine, i.e. looking better with time.

She started her career as a child artist at the age of four, and as an actress at the age of 13.

Sridevi is not only a successful Bollywood actress, but she has also worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. She is referred to as the first female superstar of the Hindi film industry.

After her 1997 film "Judaai", Sridevi took a break from Bollywood. In 2012, after a gap of 15 years, she returned to films with "English Vinglish". She is the only actress who had such a successful comeback.

Married to film producer Boney Kapoor, the actress is also a proud mother of two beautiful daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi.

After her comeback to cinema, Srideva was awarded Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2013.
