Slamming rumours of a biopic on legendary mountaineer Bachendri Pal, fIlm-maker Hansal Mehta clarified that he is planning a biopic with Kangana Ranaut in the lead but it is not based on the mountaineer.
"On recce while I'm seeing news of a biopic featuring Kamgana directed by me. News is partly true. I will be doing a film with Kangana. But the biopic is NOT about Bachendri Pal. Will share details soon...," Mehta tweeted on Wednesday.
Mehta made his directorial debut in 1997 with the feature film "Jayate", which was followed by "Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar" in 2000. "Citylights" (2014) was his last release, which had Rajkummar Rao in the lead role.
Meanwhile, Kangana will be next seen in "I Love New Year", "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" and "Katti Batti".
