An FIR has been lodged against actor Kiku Sharda for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of a group. Kiku, who is popular for portraying the role of Palak in "Comedy Nights With Kapil", found himself in trouble after he mimicked self-claimed godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, reports PTI.

It has been reported that Kiku did a mimicry of Gurmeet Ram Rahim in a recent episode of "Comedy Nights Withn kapil", which irked followers of the spiritual leader. Followers of Sirsa-headquatered Dera Sacha Sauda filed a case against the popular comedian on 1 January. Gurmeet Ram Rahim is the Sect Head of the organisation.

Earlier, followers of Gurmeet Ram Rahim protested against the act on the show and demanded action aginst the comedian. Eventually, Kiku took to Twitter and apologised for hurting the sentiments of the concerned group but looks like that apology did not work for them.

Kiku has been booked under IPC section 295 A (outraging religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious belief). Kiku rose to fame with the popular comedy show "FIR". However, the actor became a household name ever since he came as Palak in "Comedy Nights With Kapil".
