A suspicious object was found at a bus stop in Gurdaspur on Thursday, just days after a deadly terror attack in the Punjab town left four security officials and three civilians dead.

The sighting of the object, which is said to be a suspicious bag, has led to a bomb scare in the area, and the bomb squad has been called in to investigate the object, as per television reports.

Police officials told ANI news agency that wires could be seen coming out from the bag.

The object was seen on a day when Home Minister Rajnath Singh condemned the attack in the Rajya Sabha.

On Monday, when three terrorists unleashed a deadly attack in Gurdaspur, live bombs were found on a railway track, suspected to be planted by the same terrorists.

Among those who lost their lives in the Gurdaspur terror attack was Superintendent of Police Baljit Singh.
