New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): Social activist Teesta Setalvad's arrest on Thursday was stayed by the Supreme Court till Friday in the Gulbarg Society fund embezzlement case. Earlier on Thursday, activist Teesta Setalvad's anticipatory bail plea in connection was rejected by the Gujarat High Court. Besides Setalwad, her husband Javed Anand, former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri's (who was killed in Gujarat during the 2002 riots) son Tanvir Jafri are accused of misappropriating funds. They are accused of misusing funds to the tune of Rs.1.51 crore. All the accused now face arrest. Denying any misuse of funds, Setalwad had blamed political motives behind the case, say reports.
