Salman Khan is set to play a double role in "Kick 2", but what's interesting is he will essay his own nemesis.

"Salman has announced that he will be playing a double role in Kick 2. What is not known is that one character is a positive one, while the other is an out-and-out villain. That's the idea," DNA quoted a source as saying.

Ever since "Kick" achieved exceptional success at the box office last year, there were rumours of the makers coming together for a sequel. Right from the story to the cast, every little detail was under speculation until now.

Although, the lead actress hasn't been finalised, what has been confirmed is Jacqueline Fernandez will not be starring in the film. Salman's big joke on how the lady has been 'kicked out' of 'Kick 2' triggered a fallout rumour between the two stars.

Later, Jacqueline confirmed there wasn't any truth to the news and that they are still good friends.

In other news, Salman has a bunch of films lined up for release. While Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" with Sonam Kapoor releases in November, YRF's "Sultan" is set to clash with Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" on Eid 2016.

While both the superstars aren't worried about the impending box office war, experts have reportedly been saying how the battle will eat into profits of both the films.
