Mods or modifications have been an integral part of Rockstar's PC version and since the game's release in April 2015, a lot of modders have created new things.

However, now players have been warned that they should not download these mods without checking them for malware or Trojan downloader.

VG247 reported that not everyone who downloaded the mod was affected by such malwares. Speculations are rife that the malware is being put by someone else, and not the modder. But this has not been confirmed as yet.

So what should players look out for?

Players who have downloaded the mod must keep their eyes open for trojans init.exe and fade.exe. Players have also been advised to change the passwords, according to the GTA Forum.
