GTA 5 Online players were worried with Rockstar constantly delaying the Heists update, but now we know what the company was working on. According to Rockstar, Heists update will be 'massive' and will provide its dedicated players with plenty of features and enhancements making it even better when it comes to gameplay experience.
The GTA 5 developer has announced via its official Newswire that the Heists update for GTA 5 Online will see the addition of three new Adversary modes -- Come Out To Play, Siege Mentality and Hasta La Vista. If this is not enough it will also be adding new Daily Objectives and other Freemode activities.
In a rundown of what the new Adversary modes are all about in the upcoming Heists update, it went on to explain that they were the new player vs. player (PvP) modes that will bring "a range of intense new competitive challenges" to GTA 5 Online. The description of the three PvP modes does sound exciting. Here is something about the modes:
- Come Out To Play - Team of three Runners will face off against a team of Hunters. Both teams are limited in different ways. Runners will be 'well-armed' but must make sure their movement is on foot. Hunters will have to move only on motorbikes or ATVs and are armed with free-aim shotguns. Runners just have one life but can pick up weapons dropped by Hunters, whereas Hunters get unlimited life but cannot pick weapons dropped by Runners
- Siege Mentality - Team of four will have to hold their ground against the team of six Attackers. This location defence mode will provide unlimited life to Attackers but they have to fight only with sawn-off shotguns but Defenders have no limitations when it comes to weapons.
- Hasta La Vista - A face off between Truckers and Cyclists, Truckers have no weapons but their huge trucks and Cyclists must use the lightness and acceleration from their bikes to reach the final checkpoint without being run over by trucks. The limitation for Truckers is that even if one team member of the Cyclists reaches the final checkpoint, Cyclists win and if Truckers have to win they will have to eliminate all the Cyclists, a la David and Goliath?
The addition of Daily Objectives to Heists will notch up the excitement and earning power of GTA 5 Online players. This feature will provide players with challenges that will earn them GTA Money. There will be three new objectives each day that can be stacked up over consecutive days letting players to earn up to $500,000 in bonuses.
Players will also see new Freemode activities that will allow them to earn cash and RP rewards. This could involve helping Lester in distracting the police and allowing his accomplices to get away with of course, something criminal; or expect calls from Lamar who might need help in destroying some vehicles; or calls for help might also come from Trevor and Ron who might need help in taking a rival's plane.
Rockstar has further instituted Awards for completion of the challenges in style.
A new in-game Email notification system will be part of the Heists update allowing players to contact and message their friends, it doesn't matter what session they are in. It will also offer new Awards that will earn players exclusive t-shirts and car modifications.
Heists update will be made available on 10 March, 2015 for all GTA 5 Online players.
