Sam Smith tops the nomination list of 57th Grammy Awards.Twitter/Grammys

Looks like Yo Yo Honey Singh's dream of winning a Grammy Award will remain on hold, but there is a Bangalore based musician whose dream of winning the prestigious award has come true.

Ricky Kej's album "Winds Of Samsara" won the Best New Age Album trophy at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. For the album, Ricky teamed up with flutist Wouter Kellerman from South Africa.

Ricky has become the first Indian to win the Grammy Award in the Best New Age Album category. The "Winds of Samsara" album is about global effort, which draws inspiration from two cultures, according to the website of the albums.

"Winds of Samsara speaks to themes of peace and positivity, spinning together forward-moving harmony, progressive composition, and technical prowess with a verve and passion never before attempted in the New Age genre," the website describes.

Another Indian Neela Vaswani has won the Grammy Award 2015 in the Best Children's Album category for "I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up For Education And Changed The World (Malala Yousafzai)"
