Indian government is likely to stub out e-cigarettes after the technical committee evaluated recent research said that e-cigarettes has cancer-causing properties which are highly addictive, and does not stand as a safer alternative to tobacco based smoking products.

A ban is also being considered as e-cigarettes could weaken the public campaign to highlight the health hazards of smoking.
