Malkangiri, April 6 (ANI): With hours left for the general elections to kick off, government has beefed up security in India’s red corridor of Odisha to ensure peaceful polls and deployed paramilitary forces for round the clock combing operations to tackle Maoist threats. Threat looms large over the interior Maoist hit districts of the state like Malkangiri as the red rebels have inscribed threatening slogans on the school walls and other voting centres, trying to dissuade people from stepping out of their houses on the poll day. However Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pramod Kumar Bagh said that security has been tightened to ensure safety of voters and peaceful polling.
