Actor Gopichand, who recently had releases like "Loukyam" and "Jil," is teaming up with hat-trick director Sampath Nandi for his next movie, which will go on floors soon.
Gopichand is known for his high voltage action characters with strong depth in stories. His next movie will be a mass action entertainer, in which he will be seen in a stylish look. Director Sampath Nandi has written the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film.
Sampath Nandi has reportedly approached Malayali actress Catherine Tresa for the role of the female lead opposite Gopichand. The actress, who recently impressed the Telugu audience with her acting in Allu Arjun's "Sarrainodu," is said to be sorting out her dates for the project. The makers are expected make an official announcement once she signs the project.
This yet-to-be titled movie is bankrolled by well-known producers J Pulla Rao and J Bhagawan under their banner Sri Balaji Cine Media. This will be big budget movie, and the producers say that they are not going to compromise on adding top commercial values to the film. Bezawada Koteshwara Rao is the production controller and Sudhakar Pavuluri is the script co-ordinator for the movie.
S Soundar Rajan will crank the camera for the movie, while Ram Lakshman and Goutham Raju will handle the fights and editing departments, respectively. AS Prakash has been signed up as the art director of the film. The makers are yet to finalise a music director. The shooting of the film will be held mostly in foreign countries, according to the producers.
Sampath Nandi made his debut as a director with the movie "Yemaindi Ee Vela" in 2010 and later directed Ram Charan's "Racha" and Ravi Teja's "Bengal Tiger." All the three movies turned out to be big money spinners at the ticket counters. Now trade experts in the film fraternity feel his association with Gopichand can be a highly promising combination.
