Google owned Motorola has announced that the company's Android smartphone Moto X will hit select markets in Europe next month.

Moto X is the first smartphone by Motorola since it was taken over by the search engine giant, Google in 2012. It was unveiled in US in August last year.

Despite featuring less superior hardware specification, Moto X received a lot of praise for its intuitive user-interface 'Touchless Control'. Thanks to always-active micro phone in the smartphone, users can activate the device via a voice command - 'OK Google, Now' and just dictate texts, email, set notifications/remainders, check game-scores and perform other operations without having to put a finger on the screen.

Moto X sports a 4.7-inch AMOLED (RGB) HD display with pixel density of 316 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on Android v4.4 KitKat OS powered by company's custom architecture system, which features 1.7GHz Qualcomm snapdragon dual-core CPU, paired with quad-core Adreno GPU, one natural language processor core and a contextual processor.

Other notable feature of Moto X is the Quick-Capture camera gesture control feature where in users can launch the smartphone camera in a matter of few seconds just by flipping the device twice horizontally and start snapping photos. It houses a 10.0-megapixel main camera with 'Clear Pixel' (RGBC) sensor, LED flash support, full HD1080p video recording and on the front side, it packs a 2.0-megapixel camera which also has the ability to take full HD videos.

Motorola has claimed that Moto X will go on sale in UK, France and Germany for £380 (around ₹38,400) without contract, or can purchased with contract for £25 (₹2,500) a month and adds that the company is also planning to introduce the custom choose your smartphone hardware body service to customers as soon as it comes up with the logistic solution of delivering the device in four days, like they do in US, reported Engadget.
