New Delhi, Feb 23 (ANI): The Ministry of External Affairs on Monday stated that India is concerned about the recent developments in Maldives. Former Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed was arrested Sunday amid suspicions that he would try to flee the island nation to avoid facing terrorism charges. According to reports, Nasheed's detention led to clashes between his supporters and law-enforcement officers. MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin urged the concerned people to calm the situation and resolve the difference within constitutional framework.
