Will it arrive in India?
Yes, we believe Gionee will most likely launch the new Marathon M5 Lite in India. The company has already released the original M5 model for Rs 17,999. By introducing M5 Lite in to the market, Gionee will have more devices in its portfolio to cater to different budget segments. Going by the previous device release patterns, M5 Lite is likely to hit Indian stores in a month or two. Watch this space for more updates.
In a related development, Gionee is reportedly planning to launch another Marathon M5 Plus variant later this month. Unlike the M5 Lite model, the M5 Plus will be a premium-category phone with top-of-the-line specifications.
