Director RR Madan's Telugu movie Gayatri (Gayathri) featuring Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu and Shriya Saran in the lead roles has garnered positive reviews and ratings from the audience.

Gayatri is an action drama, which has been written by Diamond Ratna Babu. Besides playing the lead role, senior actor Mohan Babu has produced the movie under his banner Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures. The movie has received a U/A certificate from the censor board and has a runtime of 2.05 hours.
Gayatri's story: Dasari Sivaji (Mohan Babu) is a stage actor by profession and a good Samaritan, who runs Sarada Sadan to help children and do social service. Once he rescues a girl, who happens to be his daughter. After realising that she was seperated from him, he sets out to take revenge on the people responsible. It forms the crux of the story.
Analysis: Gayatri deals with an outdated 1990's story that is predictable in parts. But the director has made it to connect with you, by including some present day political references. However, the boring and slow paced narration will disappoint you, say the audiences.
Performances: Mohan Babu plays a double role and has done justice. His performance is the highlight of Gayatri. Vishnu Manchu and Shriya Saran have done good jobs and their chemistry is one of the attractions of the film. Brahmanandam, Ali, Kota Srinivas Rao and Tanikella Bharani are also among the assets of the movie, say the viewers.
Techinical: Gayatri has decent production values and S Thaman's background score, Sarvesh Murari's camera work, punch dialogues action and dance choreography are the attractions on the techinical front, say the film goers.
