Dhanush and Gautham Vasudev Menon are all set to join hands for forthcoming Tamil movie "Yennai Nokki Paayum Thotta." This is the first time that the duo will be teaming up for a film.

The "Kolaveri di" hitmaker announced the news on Twitter and wrote, "Years of discussion and finally it all boils down to "Yenai nokki paayum thotta" After kodi, my next is with Gautham Vasudev Menon. (sic)"

Dhanush and Gautham Menon had considered a few movies in the past, but the plans did not materialise for reasons best known to them. Now, their long-pending wish to work is finally happening with "Yennai Nokki Paayum Thotta."

The actor, who is all set to make his Hollywood debut with "The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir who Got Trapped in An Ikea Cupboard," will be joining the shoot of the English film in June. Hence, he has to begin the filming of "Yennai Nokki Paayum Thotta" soon.

Gautham Menon has been having talks with a few big names, including Suriya in the recent months. The filmmaker had admitted that he had sorted out his differences with the "Ghajini" actor and the successful duo of "Kaakha Kaakha" and "Vaaranam Aayiram" could possibly join hands.

Now, it appears like Gautham Menon and Suriya's film is not happening in the near future. As a result, the director has decided to work with Dhanush. Currently, the director is busy with "Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada," starring Silambarasan and Manjima Mohan.

On the other hand, Dhanush is busy with "Kodi," written and directed by RS Durai Senthil Kumar. The film has Trisha Krishnan in the female lead role. The shooting will be wrapped up this month.
