Following the success of Bollywood hit "Gangs of Wasseypur" released in June, movie buffs are eagerly awaiting part two of the movie. Though, the official trailer of the second part of the movie has been released, the movie will hit screens much later on August 8.

"For all those asking and also those not asking but are eager to know #GOW2 will release on 8th August," Director Anurag Kashyap tweeted.

"Sunn toh liya hai aapne ab apni aankhon se dekh bhi lo (You've heard it, now see it too)," he posted on his Twitter account, along with a mini-poster that read "'Gangs Of Wasseypur' releasing 8th August, 2012".

The first part of the movie which is based in Wasseypur in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand, outlines the story of Sardar Khan (Manoj Bajpayee) and his rivalry with Ramadir Singh.

For the second part of the story, the focus shifts entirely to Khan's second son Faizal Khan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) after Sardar's character dies in the first part.

Kashyap has screened the five-hour film at the 65th Cannes International Film Festival, during which the film received good responses from the international film audiences.

However, for the sake of a commercial release, makers of the film decided to release the movie in two parts. The film, which is co-written, produced and directed by Anurag Kashyap, features Jaideep Ahlawat, Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Richa Chadda in the lead roles.

Meanwhile, the film continues to gain attention from movie-goers as this is Kashyap's first crime thriller that made quite a bit of moolah at the box office.

"#GOW maintained very well at multiplexes, despite an opponent like 'Spider-Man'," a popular trade analyst and well-known film critic, Taran Adrash, tweeted

Due to violence in the film, "Gangs of Wasseypur" is certified with an "A" rating from the Indian Censor Board, and is banned in Kuwait and Qatar for being offensive to Muslims.
