Two of the three characters who died in the season 5 finale of "Game of Thrones" could return in the next instalment of the fantasy series.

Season 5 finale saw the deaths of three characters – Myrcella Lannister, who was poisoned by the Sand Snakes, Jon Snow, who was stabbed by his Night's Watch comrades, and Stannis Baratheon, who was killed by Brienne of Tarth.

But a photograph from one of the cast members has revealed that Myrcella could be alive in season 6. Nell Tiger Free, who plays Myrcella, was spotted in Belfast for the beginning of "Game of Thrones" season six filming, a photograph from Isaac H. Wright, who plays Bran Stark, revealed.

However, as Forbes pointed out, the actress could have been on set to film the scene where her corpse is brought to Cersei.

The second apparently dead character who will make an appearance in season 6 is Jon Snow. Actor Kit Harington was also reportedly spotted in Belfast flaunting his long locks.

Even though Jon's death was pretty brutal, fans have refused to believe that he was really gone, considering there's still a mystery surrounding his parentage.

A good number of fans have even signed a petition urging Harington to cut his long locks if his character was truly dead on the show. However, Harington hasn't done that yet.

On being asked if his character was really dead, Harington told Entertainment Weekly in June that that was his understanding.

"I had a sit-down with Dan and David, we did the Tony Soprano walk [letting an actor know they're being whacked]. And they said, 'Look, you're gone, it's done.'"

"Quite honestly, I have never been told the future of things in this show, but this is the one time I have. They sat me down and said, "This is how it is." If anything in the future is not like that, then I don't know about it – it's only in David and Dan and George's heads. But I've been told I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm not coming back next season. So that's all I can tell you, really," he added.
