"Games of Thrones" Season 5 has come down to its finale and fans of the popular HBO fantasy series have built high hopes on this last one hour of thrilling "Mother's Mercy" episode.

This fifth season, just like its earlier counterparts, has witnessed its share of shocking deaths, controversial sex scenes and moments of despair. And after the horrifying Episode 9 ("The Dance of Dragons"), the finale predictions for "Game of Thrones" Season 5 have gone wild.

Last week's episode can be summarised into two major events, Dany flying away on Drogon and Stannis Baratheon's decision about Shireen's death. But, "The Dance of Dragons" left behind too many questions unanswered, making way for us to predict what happens in "Mother's Mercy".

So what's left for the finale? Here's our predictions about the fate of five major characters, who have changed the face of "Game of Thrones" Season 5.

Cersei's Walk of Shame

It's highly possible that the finale title, "Mother's Mercy", points to a quote from the High Sparrow. During the seventh episode, he explained to Cersei that "Mother's Mercy" was something bestowed upon a person who is accused of sinning against the odds.

And just like the way it's been mentioned in the book, Cersei will face punishment for her crimes and is forced to march through the streets of King's Landing naked so her shame is bare for all to see. There is a possibility of her facing a trial and chances are that she may choose trial by combat.

We know that Cersei's Walk of Shame will appear at some point in Season 5, and it will be during the final episode?

Brienne to Help Sansa escape

Brienne has hardly had any screen presence and Sansa, on the other hand, has had the most miserable storyline during "Game of Thrones" Season 5. So maybe, Brienne will have a role to play in the finale.

As we know that Sansa has been trying to escape from the sadistic trap of Ramsay Bolton, and that Brienne is waiting on the other side of the gates. It's possible that The Maid of Tarth will help the Stark daughter escape.

And with Sansa having discovered through Theon (Reek to Ramsay) that her younger brothers Brandon and Rickon are still alive, she may join hands with Brienne to search for them.

In this escape, Sansa may decide to take Theon along, for humanity sake and because he may know where her brothers are. But will Theon play the loyal Reek again and betray Sansa, just like he has done before?

Arya Betrays Jaqen H'ghar and Kills Meryn Trant

Arya's character, we feel, has been underused in Season 5 and that's why we think she will have something crucial role to play in "Mother's Mercy."

In "The Dance of Dragons", we saw Arya straying away from her duties as a faceless man when she spots Meryn Trant in Braavos and follows him to a brothel.

If you recall, Meryn Trant made an appearance in Season 1. He was the knight of the Kingsguard who was assigned to take Arya into custody. But he was blocked by her sword-fighting instructor, Syrio Forel. That was when Arya had vowed to kill Meryn.

Our guess is that Arya spotting Meryn in Braavos could be a trap laid by Jaqen H'ghar to test Arya's loyalties to be a faceless man. And it looks like the young Stark daughter has fallen into this trap.

Arya has followed the solider till the brothel and as we know that Meryn has a taste for young girls, it's no brainer that in the finale episode she will seduce and kill Meryn Trant. Thus, failing the test and betraying Jaqen H'ghar.

Jon Snow Gets Stabbed

Taking clues from "The Dance of Dragons" we know that Jon Snow hasn't received a happy homecoming from his brothers at The Night's Watch, after he returned from Hardhome.

The brothers are clearly upset with the Lord Commander's decision to let the wildlings through the wall. Olly, who while in conversation with Sam, has expressed his anger towards the wildlings and how he doesn't welcome Jon's decision of becoming allies with them.

We think, all the clues point towards Olly attacking Jon Snow.

Daenerys Comes Back to Meereen and Teams up with Tyrion

If you've noticed, all the previous seasons had the curtains dropped down with Daenerys and her dragons. And even this time, we are guessing, if not Cersei's Walk of Shame, it will definitely be Dany who will feature in the closing scene of the finale episode, "Mother's Mercy".

In "The Dance of Dragons", we saw Dany and Drogon fly away from the rebellious Sons of Harpy in Meeren, leaving behind Jorah, Tyrion, Daario, Missandei and Grey Worm all by themselves.

In the books, Daenerys and Drogon end up in the Dothraki Sea, where she will face some old enemies, Khalasar of Khal Jhaqo. Although in the show we have only heard about Jhaqo and never seen him, it's possible they will introduce the character in the finale. We assume that he will end up kneeling down to the Khaleesi after being threatened by Drogon and recognising the power of the Mother of Dragons.

Having got back her confidence of being a powerful ruler, Dany will return to Meereen. And it looks like she will join hands with Tyrion to make a stronger team together. Tyrion will end up teaching Dany how to get what she wants and be an influential leader.

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 Finale, "Mother's Mercy", will air on 14 June, 9 pm, on HBO.
