In what will be a disappointing news to many Xbox fans, Microsoft has indicated that it will not be announcing any Xbox gaming titles during the Game Awards 2014.

Aaron Greenberg, the Marketing head at Xbox Games broke the news to fans via Twitter, "Since many have asked we are not planning any new game announcements @thegameawards. Looking forward to watching a great show however."

Many fans were expecting Xbox titles will be part of the "over twelve World Premieres" that will be announced at The Game Awards 2014. It has been revealed that one such announcement will be on Metal Gear Online.

Fans were hoping that Microsoft would reveal about some of their upcoming titles that it is working on. One fan commented, "We literally know nothing about 2015 lineup-. when are you going to tell us something?" and another added, "Thats a big disappointment, oh well."

Microsoft's plans not to reveal anything at the Game Awards has led to speculation that the company is saving them to be announced during the E3 2015 or during some other event.

The Game Awards will be held on 5 December 2014 at the Axis Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fans can catch the action on Steam, YouTube, Twitch and on some gaming websites too.

Following are the games that have been nominated for the Game of the Year - Bayonetta 2, Dark Souls 2, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Hearthstone and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

An international jury of 28 members will select the final winners.
