While the top ten contestants struggle to establish themselves as top contenders in Masterchef Season 6, the series will witness new Masterchef hopefuls next year. The series has been renewed for the seventh time by Fox.

The new season will see the return of judges Chef Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot and Christina Tosi. This will be pastry chef Christina Tosi's second year in the Masterchef Kitchen, the newest entrant to the panel of judges, who replaced restaurateur and winemaker Joe Bastianich.

So far, Masterchef US is one of Fox's most popular unscripted shows, with an average of six million viewers and a viewership of 2.1 out of eight adults in the 18-49 category. The series celebrated its 100th episode in Season 6 with a lavish spread of culinary delights and a gorgeous cake baked by judge Christina Tosi. The event was attended by restaurateurs, food critics and previous participants of the show.

Fox will also air Masterchef US Junior Season 4 this fall adjudicated by the same judges.
