Former EXO Member Tao will hold a solo mini concert in Beijing, China, at 7.30 pm CST on Sunday, 23 August.

Informing his fans about the upcoming music event, the 22-year-old singer uploaded a poster of it on Chinese microblogging website Weibo.

Meanwhile, the representatives of Chinese entertainer released an official statement about the program through his personal workshop, according to Soompi.

"Tao's mini concert will be a place where his hard work and dreams regarding music will be gathered," read the statement.

Although Tao did not spill out many details about his solo mini concert, fans expect him to burn the stage with songs, such as "Yesterday", "TAO" and "One Heart", from his recently released digital album.

Buzz also has it that he might officially announce his departure from popular South Korean record label SM Entertainment on the same day.

Recently, the singer was criticised by Chinese media outlet Sina after he failed to turn up for a scheduled interview with them. The firm revealed that his representatives told them that they are very busy as many organisations are requesting for exclusive interviews. 

The issue drew several criticisms against the celebrity but his representatives released a statement clarifying it. "It wasn't Tao's fault. Due to our mistake, Tao is being misunderstood," they stated.

The 22-year-old singer launched his first solo digital album on 22 July and more than 670,000 copies were sold within a week's time. So it remains to be seen if he will be as successful as his former teammates Kris and Luhan
