Ford, one of the leading car makers of the world, is building hype around the upcoming performance sports car that is expected to launch next week. The car maker released a teaser video on YouTube to give its fans a taste of what can be expected from the next-gen vehicle. Without giving any specific details, Ford has hinted at a powerful engine and refreshed design.

The name of the upcoming car isn't official yet, but word is that Ford is teasing the widely-rumored SVT-enhanced Mustang GT350, which has been making the headlines for several months now. The company has confirmed the release date for the new sports car, which is set for 17 November. The font, in which the date is shown toward the end of the video, resembles the leaked GT350 badge in August, Motor Authority reports. This strengthens the ongoing speculation about the release of the much-awaited supercharged beast by Ford.

The latest video teasing the rumoured Mustang model is the fourth and the company is expected to release two more videos ahead of the big launch. According to the report, the car will be shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show, which kicks off 18 November and concludes on 20 November, 2014.

Without any official confirmation on the car's specs, rumours indicate that the GT350 will be powered by a turbocharged 5.2-liter V8 engine along with some standard racing elements such as Brembo brakes and Recaro seats, Jalopnik reported.

The latest teaser video features the company's top executives speaking of Ford's motorsport legacy.

"We can compete with anybody and win," Ford CEO Mark Fields said in the short video, hinting at a possible motorsport program linked to the new car, Motor Authority said.

Other notable highlight in the video, apart from the car's powerful engine sound, is the widened track and lowered hood. The dynamics will certainly add to the car's performance. The good thing is that we don't have to wait too long before finding out what's actually under the hood.
