Ford EcoPSort is the second vehicle in India to support this technology after Fiesta, and for now the new AppLink system will be available only on the Titanium trim of the EcoSport.

"Introduction of Ford AppLink enhances the value proposition offered by Ford EcoSport. Consumers today are leading an increasingly connected lifestyle and wish to stay up-to-date even while on the move. Ford AppLink addresses this unmet need and helps them stay connected without ever compromising on convenience," said Anurag Mehrotra, executive director Marketing Sales and Service, Ford India.

Ford is also working with several other App partners in India to add to the list of the compatible apps in the new system. Currently, Ford AppLink supports MapMyIndia, ESPN Cricinfo and Glympse (a global, secure location sharing app).

Ford EcoSport, which has been earning good sales record since its launch in the country, currently has over 1 lakh customers. Recently, the company also launched its first Vehicle Personalisation Centre in Chennai, through which customers can personalise their vehicle at the time of buying.

Currently Ford is offering three EcoSport customisation style packs, which include Spare Wheel (Cover) Pack for all EcoSport variants, Alloys Pack for EcoSport's Ambiente and Trend trims, and Sports Pack for EcoSport's Titanium and Titanium (O) trims.
