Flipkart Big Billion Day 2016: Samsung Galaxy On8 may be launched; to be exclusive to e-tailer in India

Flipkart's Big Billion Day sale, slated to be on from October 2 to October 6, may witness unrealistic and huge discounts, and also the launch of the Samsung Galaxy On8 smartphone in India. Until this development, it was widely believed by Samsung loyalists that the Galaxy On8 would be released before 2016 comes to an end.

Now, with Flipkart having mentioned the Samsung Galaxy On8 in its official Big Billion day microsite under the section 'Special Thanks to our partners,' there is a strong possibility that the device will be launched during the Big Billion Day observed by the e-tailer, when discounts as high as 80 percent are offered on a range of products. The Samsung Galaxy On8 is yet to be officially released in India.

Also, the Samsung Galaxy On7, that is believed to be the predecessor of the unreleased Galaxy On8, was released in China recently. There are increased expectations about this smartphone being launched in the Indian subcontinent as well.

However, the key technical specifications of the Samsung Galaxy On8 are yet to surface even unofficially at this point in time. Considering the fact that the recently-unveiled Galaxy On7 was a pure mid-ranger, there is every possibility that its successor would be an enhanced mid-range smartphone.
