After a long wait, we will finally get to see our favourite scarlet speedster when "The Flash" season 2 premieres on Tuesday, 6 October. The fans are waiting restlessly to see "The Man who Saved Central City", and unlike his counterpart "Arrow" in Starling City, "Flash" is being celebrated and not being hunted down.

In episode 2 of "The Flash" season 2, we will see the Mayor of Central City handing out the key to the city, but just as Barry (Grant Gustin) goes to accept his reward, the new "Flash" villain intervenes. The latest Big Bad is none other than Atom Smasher, brought to life by former wrestler Adam "Edge" Copeland, but he is not going to be a major villain and his appearance will be limited to this one episode.

But, the fate of Robbie Amell as one half of Firestorm remains a mystery as of the clip from episode 1, because among Barry's friends and family in the crowd is Dr Martin Stein (Victor Garber) -- the other half of Firestorm. Amell is also not officially mentioned as a main cast member in "Legend's of Tomorrow", although Stein is present.

However, the fans needn't worry because Amell is making an appearance in the season 2 premiere, and he has become really comfortable with his powers. In a clip from episode 1, he is seen assisting Barry in his fight against the villains Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) -- who are both set to star in "Legends of Tomorrow".

Watch out for the season 2 premiere of "The Flash" at 8.00 pm (EST) on Tuesday, 6 October, on The CW. You can also live stream "The Man who Saved Central City" via CWTV.
