Dharmapuri, Nov 16 (ANI): Five new born babies including four baby girls died at the Dharmapuri Medical College Hospital in Tamil Nadu’s Dharmapuri district within a span of 12 hours. Three babies were born in primary health centers (PHC) and were later admitted with respiratory and other complications. The incident however has shown light on the poor reproductive health of women in this backward district. Dharmapuri Medical College Dean Dr Elangovan said that of the five babies, three babies were severely underweight and the other two suffered from Respiratory distress syndrome.
