Randeep Hooda's first look in the upcoming biopic on Sarabjit Singh is out, and the actor's transformation is really shocking. Directed by Omung Kumar, the movie titled "Sarbjit" will present Randeep as Sarabjit Singh, an Indian national convicted by a Pakistani court of terrorism and spying. While he received the death sentence from the court, Sarabjit died after jail inmates attacked him in Lahore's Kot Lakhpat prison.

Randeep appears completely unrecognisable in the first-look pictures the director has shared on Twitter. The actor has donned a shabby bearded look, but the most shocking part of the transformation is Randeep's physique. The actor looks so thin that even his bones are visible.

Omung said he told Randeep initially he wanted to see his bones when he was fully ready for the role, and Randeep actually completed the challenge, shedding 18 kg in 28 days. "He cut down on his meals, filling up on coffee and water, even when we were shooting in Palghar and gorging on some great food. In his years in jail, Sarabjit was kept in a 4x4 room and had rat bites all over him. The first time I met Randeep, I told him I wanted to see his bones. He took up the challenge and shocked even me," Omung told Mumbai Mirror.

While Randeep had to transform into a very weak and thin man, the film's script demanded that the actor gain weight again for some flashback scenes. "I gave him a 20-day break and he came back all pumped up," the director said.

While Randeep will play the role of Sarabjit Singh, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen as his elder sister Dalbir Kaur. The film also features Darshaan Kumaar and Richa Chadha.
