Imtiaz Ali's forthcoming directorial venture, "Rockstar", which features B-town heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor and debutant Nargis Fakhri, is a film that young India is eagerly waiting for.

The film, with a budget of Rs. 60 crores, is about a middle-class boy, Janardan (Ranbir Kapoor), who has a larger-than-life dream - of being a rockstar like Jim Morrison. He believes that unless he does something drastic, he will never be able to fulfill that dream.

Janardan tries to woo the diva of his college, Heer Kaul (Nargis Fakhri), a well-to-do and pretty girl who has caused quite a few broken hearts in college. His success, or lack of, with Heer proclaims the start of the transformation that sees Janardan become a heartbroken rockstar, Jordan.

The publicity poster for the film shows Ranbir (sporting a long-haired look) in a kurta-pyjama, wielding a guitar with some flair.

Apart from Ranbir and Nargis's screen chemistry, both on and off camera, "Rockstar" marks Nargis' debut and is the last film of legendary actor Shammi Kapoor.

Shooting for the film began in May, 2010 and it is slated to release on Nov. 11, 2011.
