A quick look at Hrithik Roshan's filmography will tell you that he has played tough guy roles — a superhero, spy and avenging son — in his last few films. The star now wants to take a break, do an out-and-out comedy project.

"It's time for Hrithik to unwind. After a series of intense exhausting parts in Guzaarish, Bang Bang and Mohenjo-Daro he needs to loosen up, have a ball," a source told DNA. To be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film will be directed by Sajid Khan, added the report. There are ideas but nothing has been finalised yet.

If the superstar signs on the dotted lines, it will be a welcome change from what he has been doing all these years. His next, "Kaabil," will also be heavy on the head. From what has been reported so far, the actor will play a grieving visually-impaired person on the lookout for his girlfriend's rapists and murderers.

The crime thriller will be out on Jan. 26, 2017, and it may clash with Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" and Ajay Devgn's "Baadshaho."

Even "Mohenjo Daro" has an intense premise. Rumour has it that it will be a revenge and love story combined, set in the era of the Indus Valley Civilisation. Hrithik has shot for some very exciting scenes in the film and tamed wild beasts bare-handed, with some help from CGI of course.

The epic-adventure film, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, opens in theatres on Aug. 12. Akshay Kumar's "Rustom" is also scheduled to release on the same day. The box office war will be interesting as both are big ticket films.
