The TV industry is a good arena to explore for actors starting out, but if they wish to grow, big screen is the key. Applying this wise move, a bunch of actors underwent small to silver screen transition. While some failed, others emerged successful.

The box office numbers might not have looked up for some of the popular television faces, but they have made a strong impact with their good looks and charm.

Rajeev Khandelwaal

He began his career with "Banphool" in 1998, but his big break came through with Balaji Telefilms' "Kahiin Toh Hoga". Known as the chocolate face, the actor soon gathered a strong fan force, and went on to sign a few other TV series.

In 2008, he essayed the role of Dr. Aamir Ali in Raj Kumar Gupta's "Aamir". The film was met with a positive response by both critics and audience.

Karan Singh Grover

This suave actor has long been the stud of the small screen. He began his career with "Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi" in 2004 but shot to fame with medical drama "Dill Mill Gayye".

In January 2015, KSG's first ever film hit screens. Alongside Bipasha Basu, the actor created quite a stir with the raunchy scenes. Although the film was panned, it did give Karan a fair start.

Barun Sobti

This charming TV actor became an overnight star with his popular series "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon". Considering his contemporaries, Sobti got quite an early break.

"Main Aur Mr. Right" with Shehnaz Treasurywala wasn't anywhere close to a hit, but the actor has quickly signed a few more projects. He will next seen in John Abraham's "Satra ko Shaadi Hai".

Gurmeet Choudry

Gurmeet was around in the TV scene for quite some time, but his claim to fame was "Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi". As Maan Singh Khurana, he became exceedingly popular and went on to do reality shows such as "Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa" and "Nach Baliye".

His debut film, "Khamoshiyan", tanked at the box office and viewers were miffed over the limited screen time. His performance, was however, met with a positive response. The film co-starred Ali Fazal and Sapna Pabbi.

Sushant Singh Rajput

He is easily the most successful actors of the lot. From hit TV series 'Pavitra Rishta' to a string of films, Sushant is definitely here for the long haul. "Detective Byomkesh Bakshi" and "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" are two of his big releases this year.

Blessed with perfect boy-next-door charm, the actor sure has a strong fan following.

Fawad Afzal Khan

Everyone went crazy when "Khoobsurat" teaser hit the web. Good looks is an understatement when it comes to this Pakistani hottie. Dripping with awesomeness, Fawad Afzal Khan made his first career move with hit TV series "Humsafar". However, his first ever film was "Khuda Kay Liye" (2007).
