Budaun, June 14 (ANI): Father of one of the hanged teenage girls in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh said he is now hopeful of getting justice, after the CBI reached the northern state to investigate the case of the gang-rape and killings of two teenage girls. Two cousins aged 12 and 14, from a low-caste Dalit community, went missing from their village home in Budaun district when they went out to go to the toilet on the evening of May 27. The next morning, villagers found their bodies hanging from a mango tree. The victims’ families had accused the local police of shielding the alleged attackers and refusing to take action when the girls were first reported missing.
