According to the synopsis of the episode, as the search for Rye (Kieran Culkin) escalates, Lou visits Fargo, even as Peggy Blumquist (Kirsten Dunst) comes across a new theory about the Waffle Hut shooter.

Rye' brother, Bear Gerhardt (Angus Sampson), will try to find Rye accompanying Rye's mother Floyd. Sampson said that he initially applied for a minor character in the show but it seems Noah Hawley, the show's creator, have some major plans for him.

In an interview with Yahoo News Australia, Sampson said, "He had seen 'The Mule' and he noted some similarities between my character from that movie and the one he wanted me to do."

Sampson further added that it took him some time to believe that he has earned a role in the critically acclaimed crime drama series.

In the previous episode titled "Before the Law," Ed had an unexpected encounter with Lou at the butcher's shop. Though they came there for different purposes, there was an unknown connection between them.

In the premiere episode of season 2 titled "Waiting for Dutch," after Ed and his wife accidentally killed Otto Gerhardt's (Michael Hogan) youngest son Rye, Ed decided to dispose the body by dumping it into his butcher's shop.

In order to avoid getting discovered by the authorities, Ed decided to chop of the body parts in the meat grinder. However, State Trooper Lou turned up at the shop unexpectedly.

Though Lou didn't know about the crime committed by Ed and his wife Peggy, it seemed that he had sensed something wrong. Whether he will find about the murder or not will be revealed only in the next episode.
