Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan" is set to hit screens and the makers are just getting warmed up to promote their labour of love. Taking a detour from Bollywood's most-known traditions, the team will first release the only song, "Main Tera Fan Ho Gaya", from the film featuring Gaurav Chandana (Shah Rukh Khan).

Composed by Vishal-Shekhar and sung by Nakash Aziz, the number is essentially a tribute to fans across the world and the video will also see Chandana dance to it. "Yes, YRF is releasing the song before the trailer. It will be unveiled across all digital platforms on February 16. That's the plan," DNA quoted a source as saying.

"Fan" to be launched at Hansraj College

Director Maneesh Sharma confirms the development to the Hindustan Times, saying that the song happened very "organically" and SRK's look in it is one to watch out for. What's interesting to note is having made a song-less film with the superstar doesn't seem to have shaken his confidence.

"I am sure when people will watch the trailer of the movie, they will know what the film is all about. We want to give viewers a new movie experience. The film doesn't need any songs. And we ensured that this track doesn't hamper the essence of the film," Sharma further elaborated.

Slated to release on April 15, the SRK-starrer features supermodel Waluscha De Sousa in an important role. Also, it's not merely a fan boy-meets-superstar, and has more to do with a clash between the two.

Editor Namrata Rao told the daily that the charming superstar has managed to play both the roles in the film adeptly as he understood the psychology of the two characters really well. "In fact, there's an action sequence in the end of the film where I just could not decide whose side I am on," she added.
