Facebook continues to astound users with new features all the time. The social network wants to organise things a bit within Facebook Groups by introducing a new "Sell Something" button. The option will allow users to sell goods within a specific group.

Facebook is currently testing the new feature and hasn't confirmed the global roll-out just yet. If successful, the new selling option will be a standard across all Facebook Groups soon.

Facebook has integrated a "Sell Something" button right next to the "Write Post" button. By clicking on the new option, users can update information about the product they wish to sell along with the price, pictures and delivery options. Facebook will not have any hand in the processing of the deals but it will format the post with all the information at front and center.

In a dedicated help page for the new feature in test phase, Facebook clearly notes that "both buyers and sellers are responsible for things sold in a Facebook Group." The social network also notes that the any transaction through the website is solely at buyer's and seller's discretion and Facebook plays no part in it.

"We are testing a new feature within Facebook Groups to help people better organize posts about items they'd like to sell to other people on Facebook," a Facebook spokesperson issued a statement in light of the new feature to The Next Web. "This is a small test limited to select Facebook Groups that have active selling communities today."

The new addition to the site seems useful. In India, classifieds websites like OLX and Quickr have gained momentum and Facebook's new addition will largely impact their dominance. There are more than 1.3 billion Facebook users around the world and specific groups on the site can help users reach targeted audience for their goods.
