When EXO and EXID took to the stage in an effort to show off their musical prowess, the crowd was impressed. Indeed, the latest episode of JTBC's "Sugar Man" was an event that many would remember with fond memories. So how exactly did EXO and EXID band members enthrall the crowds? Let's find out.

"Sugar Man," which aired on Tuesday, May 24, included a musical battle between the two bands. EXO's Chen and Chanyeol competed against EXID's Hani and Solji. The crowd was equally divided in their loyalty and so were the hosts.

The all girl K-pop band's Hani and Solji were part of Yoo Hee Yeol's team, while EXO band members belonged to Yoo Jae Suk's team.

The battle kicked off with Hani and her bandmate's beautiful rendition of Park Hye Kyoung's "To Me Again." Their performance was inspired by a Broadway-esque theme, replete with a vibrant set and backup dancers who used umbrellas as props, according to Soompi.

On the other hand, EXO's performance was mellow. The two band members, dressed casually, gave an acoustic performance of Do Won Kyung's "If I Love You Again." Perhaps it was the soft, melodic vocals and their honest recital of a song that touched upon the fragility of love, the ever elusive feeling, which made them winners of "Sugar Man." The crowd was overwhelmed and so were the singers.

According to the outlet, EXO's cover of the song was even present on the top 10 charts of various music streaming services.

Earlier, we reported that Chanyeol, who is EXO's rapper, was particularly nervous about displaying his singing skills. The 23-year-old band member even said that singing on TV was one of the most nerve wracking moments of his life. However, he seems to have made fans love him more.
