TV stars Divyanka Tripathi and Ssharad Malhotra may not be the "let's be friends" kind of an ex-couple, but they share a cordial relationship.
A few days ago, the "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actress was called names by Ssharad's fans on social media, following which she sent across a text requesting him to put up a public note urging his admirers not to disrespect women.
In his post, Ssharad said it isn't okay to tarnish woman's image adding that the fans should move on just like the way they (Ssharad- Divyanka) have in their lives. Divyanka is now married to her "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" co-star Vivek Dahiya; Ssharad is single.
Later, on his Instagram post, Divyanka thanked him for giving her the best "parting gift" and wished him well for times ahead. The ex-flames were bonding on social media, but that's just about it.
Why did Ssharad and Divyanka split?
They first met on the sets of "Banoo Main Teri Dulhann" and dated for 7 years. What made another fairytale romance bite the dust were different career interests. While Ssharad wanted to pursue Bollywood, Divyanka stuck to TV. For the longest time, they maintained that they were "just friends," but finally announced their split sometime last year.

Was a little disappointed when I got a text from Mrs Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya stating that apparently some of my fans were deterring her image and hurling abuses at her and family. On one hand we have the women at the Olympics making the nation beam with pride and happiness and on other we also have a certain section of people who are disrespecting women.. As Mrs divyanka tripathi Dahiya asked me to make a public note, so I hereby request one and all that kindly respect women and please respect our privacy as we both have moved on... I wish her a happy married life.
Also I completely believe that true fans of mine would never tarnish a women's image.
