Arsenal players celebrate a goal scored by Mesut Ozil in their Premier League game against Stoke City, December 10, 2016Reuters

The great thing about Arsenal's come-from-behind victory over Stoke City on Saturday was that, even when they went a goal down in the first half, it never looked like they would not be able to come back. There is, obviously, renewed confidence in this side and a spirt that has not exactly been prevalent in previous teams over the past decade.

Arsenal will want to show they have it in them to put in assured performances away from home as well, after a few iffy ones, albeit against difficult opposition. Everton might not be in the greatest of forms at the moment, but in Ronaldo Koeman, the Gunners will run into a manager who has had Arsene Wenger's number on quite a few occasions.

Koeman seems to be one of those managers who gets under Wenger's skin and while the Dutchman will be in control of a different team this time around, expect him to make it really difficult for Wenger and his Arsenal side.

While Arsenal are unbeaten in the Premier League since their opening day loss to Liverpool, Everton's form has taken a nosedive after a stirring start to the season, when they looked like top-four contenders.

Koeman has not quite been able to arrest the slide well enough – they have won just one of their last ten Premier League games – and what the manager will hope is that a win against Arsenal is the result they need to turnaround their fortunes this season.

Wenger will know Everton will come hard at them, probably using the press that sometimes Arsenal can be vulnerable to, and it will be at that renewed confidence and belief – style and steel like the Frenchman likes to say – the manager will look to in order to counter the Toffees' threat.

"I think we have a united squad, even if it's frustrating for some players not to get the number of games they would like to," Wenger said after the 3-1 win over Stoke City, when Theo Walcott scored the equaliser, Mesut Ozil headed in the winner and Alex Iwobi netted the icing goal. "But everybody is on board.

"We can only do it all together. At the moment the energy levels in the team is very united and very together, and that's what we need if we want to be successful."
