Eros International, which has shown keen interest in regional movies in India, has now joined Studio Green for the worldwide rights of the upcoming Suriya-Naynathara Tamil movie "Masss". The movie, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is touted to be a supernatural fantasy thriller.

"After collaborating with Suriya for 'Maattraan', we are very excited to extend our relationship with this project. With this film, we also extend our partnership with Studio Green with whom we have already collaborated for the music of films like 'Darling' and 'Tamiluku En Ondrai Alathavum'," said Soundarya A Rajinkanth, director-creative for South, Eros International.

Meanwhile, KE Gnanvelraja of Studio Green said that he was looking forward to their association with Eros International. "We at Studio Green are proud to be producing 'Masss' with Mr. Suriya, directed by Mr. Venkat Prabhu. We are glad to be partnering with Eros International for this film. Lookibg forward to exciting times ahead," said Gnanavelraja.

Even though not much is revealed about this film, it is also said to be a horror-comedy and reports are that the makers are aiming to release this big budget film by June or July.

The film is expected to have lot of comic and action scenes like any other Venkat Prabhu film. Premgi Amaren will also play a major role in the film. "Masss" is Venkat Prabhu's sixth film after "Chennai 600028", "Saroja", "Goa", "Mankatha" and "Biriyani".

The film is more special for music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. This is his sixth film with Venkat Prabhu and his seventh with Suriya after "Povellam Kettupar", "Nandha", "Mounam Pesiyathe", "Perazhagan", "Vel" and "Anjaan". The music composer is also composing songs for Nayanthara for the eighth time.

The screenplay of "Masss" is written jointly by Venkat Prabhu and Madhan Karky and the cinematography is done by RD Rajashekar.
