Jallikattu or bull fighting is one of the most popular sports that is played as part of Pongal celebrations on Mattu Pongal day in Tamil Nadu.

In order to upload the ban on Jallikatu, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India has filed a new petition that is already been signed by film stars, including, Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bipasha Basu, John Abraham, Raveena Tandon, Vidyut Jammwal, Shilpa Shetty, Kapil Sharma, Amy Jackson, Athiya Shetty, Sonu Sood, Richa Chadha, Vidya Balan and cricketers Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.

It is now understood that members of the Tamil outfit Tamilar Viduthalai Padai are planning to protest against the shooting of superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming movie "Enthiran 2.0" seeking to remove Amy from the movie as she had also supported PETA's Jallikattu ban. Their leader Veeralakshmi has already issued a statement to the media regarding the matter.

"Members of a Tamil outfit to protest at #Rajinikanth's #2.0 shoot spot today seeking to remove #AmyJackson for supporting #Jallikattuban," industrial tracker Bharath tweeted on Friday.

A few days ago, Amy took to Twitter asking fans to sign PETA Indian's plea against bullfights in India.

Following her stand on the matter, many social media users, who doesn't want to ban Jallikattu, have been attacking the actress ever since she signed the petition.

The PETA India filed a petition seeking the ban on bull fighting after Prakash Javadekar, who is the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Environment, Forest and Climate Change announced his intention to allow the sport, in spite of Supreme Court's order that confirms its ban in 2014.
