LONDON The BFI London Film Festival continued to shine a light on a crop of new films. Damien Lewis headed the premiere of the ‘Silent Storm’, a romantic drama set on a remote Scottish island. ‘Testament of Youth', based on the acclaimed classic, held its Centerpiece Gala Screening with stars Dominic West & Kit Harington and there was a charge in the air as ‘Electricity’ held its premiere with star Agyness Deyn who plays a woman with epilepsy searching for her long lost brother. Also in London, songwriter Nile Rodgers, lyricist Sir Tim Rice and Kinks front man Ray Davies were some of the winners at this year’s BMI London Awards which honors the best in British music. LOS ANGELES HGTV’s own Matt Blashaw lent a hand as DIRECTV & Scripps Networks partnered with U.S.VETS, an organization providing housing & employment for returning veterans. Blashaw & volunteers worked to rehabilitate rooms used by former servicemen & women. Curtains drawn on 16th Mumbai Film Festival

Mumbai, Oct 22 (ANI): Bollywood celebrities such as actor Aamir Khan, actresses Madhuri Dixit Nene, Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, filmmakers Shyam Benegal, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and many others graced the closing ceremony of 16th Mumbai Film Festival (MFF) recently. Organised by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), the eight-day international film festival in Mumbai was a mix of numerous film screenings, workshops and panel discussions. Filmmaker and Chairman of MAMI, Shyam Benegal, was glad that despite all the hiccups, the festival could take place.
