The Elephone P8000, which boasts of fingerprint sensor besides impressive features, is finally available online. It is still not known when it will hit Indian stores but it is certain that it will take on devices like Lenovo K3 Note, Micromax Yu Yuphoria and other budget smartphones currently available in the market.

The Elephone P8000 is currently available for $169.99 (approximately ₹10,900) for a limited period (24-27 July) which means it till have to compete with the likes of Lenovo K3 Note (₹9,999), and Micromax Yu Yuphoria (₹6,999).

It may be mentioned that the Elephone P8000 will be sold for $210 in the US once the offer period is over.

Here is specification comparison of Elephone P8000 with Lenovo K3 Note, and Micromax Yu Yuphoria:

Display: Elephone P8000 and Lenovo K3 Note sport a 5.5-inch display with FHD 1920x1080p (401 ppi pixel density) screen resolution, while Micromax Yu Yuphoria has a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1280 pixels (294 ppi pixel density).

Processor: Elephone P8000 has MediaTek MT6753 Octa-core processor which is more powerful than Mediatek MT6752 seen in the Lenovo K3 Note and Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 in Micromax Yu Yuphoria.

Operating System: Elephone P8000 comes running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, while the Lenovo K3 Note and Micromax Yu Yuphoria run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

Memory: The Elephone P8000 has more storage with 16 GB internal memory, expandable up to 128 GB via microSD cards, and 3 GB RAM compared to Lenovo K3 Note's 16 GB internal storage expandable up to 32 GB and 2 GB RAM. Micromax Yu Yuphoria has 16 GB internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB, and 2 GB RAM.

Camera: Lenovo K3 Note and Elephone P8000 have 13 MP main camera and 5 MP front snapper, while Micromax Yu Yuphoria has 8 MP main camera, and 5 MP secondary snapper.

Battery: The Elephone P8000 is packed with a powerful 4165 mAh battery compared to 3000 mAh seen in Lenovo K3 Note, and 2230 mAh in Micromax Yu Yuphoria.

Conclusion: The Elephone P8000 belongs to a different league all together with much superior features. However, it may be mentioned that its price will be hiked from current special offer price of $169.99 to $210 in a couple of days' time, which means it will have to take on mid-range devices.
