Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in nine seats in the eight North Eastern States from a total of 25 Lok Sabha Constituencies. Meanwhile, Congress is ahead in seven seats.

In Assam, BJP is ahead in seven seats out of 14 and the ruling party Congress is trailing behind with two seats. An independent candidate and All India United Democratic Front (AIDUF) are currently leading on one seat each in the state.

While Meghalaya is witnessing Congress and National People's Party (NPP) leading in one seat each, Naga People's Front (NPF) in Nagaland is ahead in one seat.

BJP is making a mark in Arunachal Pradesh with a lead in two seats and Congress seems to be on a roll in the lone seat in Mizoram.

Congress and NPF are ahead on one seat in the state of Manipur and CPI (M) is making its presence felt in two seats of Tripura.

Meanwhile, ruling party Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) has bagged one seat in the state and is leading in another 20 out of a total of 32 seats, reported PTI.
