"This beats all the previous records of advance bookings at the Indian box office, be it Shah Rukh Khan's "Om Shanti Om" or Salman Khan's "Bodyguard". The challenge would be how soon it will cross the Rs 100-crore mark and whether it will cross the Rs 200-crore barrier or not," Komal Nahata, film trade analyst, said.

The movie, which also stars Katrina Kaif in the female lead, will hit more than 3,000 screens worldwide which include over 550 screens overseas. With almost 60 percent of the advance booking the figure have already rose to Rs 180 million for the opening day, according to The Examiner.

"Will #EkThaTiger collects 25 cr on Day 1? Or 30 cr? May be 30 cr +? Whatever the figure, all previous records will be shattered," he wrote.
