New Delhi/ Mumbai, Oct 14 (ANI): The Election Commission issued a notice to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray for violating the model code of conduct ahead of the 15 October elections in the state. Thackeray was charged with "promoting enmity between different classes of citizens of India on grounds of religion, race, caste or language". Meanwhile, the Congress and NCP welcomed the Election Commission’s step.
