On the first night of the season 19 finale of "Dancing with the Stars," YouTube sensation Bethany Mota and her partner Derek Hough were eliminated, leaving three contestants in the running for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

While it's too soon to say who will take home the prize, fan-favourite is Alfonso Ribeiro, who is currently on the lead with a perfect score of 80. He is followed by television personality Sadie Robertson with 78 points and "Pretty Little Liars" actress Janel Parrish with 77 points.

Mota had 76 points, and before leaving the show the 19-year-old said that she was happy with what she had achieved by participating in "Dancing With the Stars."

"I've discovered things about myself that, things I never thought I could do," Mota said at the end of the two-hour special. "I was just hoping to make it past week two so to be in the finals was the best thing ever."

Five-time champion Hough said he was proud of his partner and of the show. "This has been an incredible season," he said.

However, their elimination came as a shock to many in the audience, as constant boos were heard when Mota was eliminated. Not surprisingly, a section of Twitter users are also upset with their elimination.

"So CONGRATULATIONS BETHANY & DEREK FOR DOING SO WELL IN DWTS! In our eyes, hearts and souls #TEAMMOTOUGH is our winner! @BethanyMota," a fan worte, and another noted: "Derek & Bethany used this experience to give a voice & awareness to bullying and loving yourself. Ultimate winners over all #DWTS #MOTOUGH"

Tuesday's grand finale will be spread across three hours and the first segment will be a recap of all the 11-weeks leading up to the finale. The segment will be titled "Dancing with the Stars: Road to the Finals."

The second segment will feature performances by past contestants and judges, and the final round will feature performances by the finalists. This will include the "24-hour Dance Challenge" where the finalists are given just one full day to create a routine with two dance styles.

The winner will be decided based on public votes from Monday night and the judges' scores. The finale will be live-streamed through "Dancing With the Stars" official website http://abc.go.com/shows/dancing-with-the-stars/

The finalists are Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson; Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas and Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
