Dulquer Salmaan, Sathyan Anthikad's as-yet untitled movie starts rolling in Thrissur

The upcoming movie of Dulquer Salmaan, directed by Sathyan Anthikkad, started rolling in Thrissur on Monday, Aug. 29. Anupama Parameshwaran of "Premam" fame and a debutant actress play the female lead roles in the as-yet untitled movie.

"Yesterday a long cherished dream of mine came true. All day I tried to come up with a post. But I just couldn't find the right words. I grew up watching Sathyan (Anthikad) Sirs films. I loved them dearly and they were a huge part of my sister's and my childhood. So many of Sathyan sirs films were so real that many of those characters are still alive in all of us. If life is an endless quest for knowledge and learning, I'm blessed to be taught by one more Master. Started my new film with none other than The Sathyan Anthikad. Thank you for this opportunity sir. Thanks to the almighty. And thanks to you, the audience, for being the reason I get these chances [sic]," Dulquer posted on his Facebook page.

Dulquer will be seen as a Thrissur native for the first time in the movie, which is expected to narrate the relationship between a father and son. The family entertainer marks the first association of Dulquer with Mukesh, who plays the young star's father and a businessman. Scripted by Dr Iqbal Kuttippuram, the film features music composed by Vidya Sagar and lyrics penned by Rafeeq Ahamed.  

Meanwhile, Dulquer has wrapped up the first schedule of the shooting of Amal Neerad's next. He will join the team for its second schedule in the United States after completing Sathyan Anthikkad's movie. In Amal's movie, Dulquer will be seen as a native of Kottayam opposite Karthika, the daughter of cinematographer Muraleedharan CK. She has replaced Anu Emmanuel, the actress of "Action Hero Biju," who was initially considered for the heroine's role.

The "Kammatipaadam" actor was last seen in a cameo role in Sunny Wayn and Baby Sara Arjun's "Anna Maria Kalippilaanu." He has many movies lined up for the year, including Anoop Sathyan's directorial venture.
