Ducati India launched the Multistrada adventure motorcycle range that includes Multistrada 1200 and 1200 S, priced at Rs 14.42 lakh and Rs 17.04 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi, respectively. The company also informed that the delivery has also commenced on the bookings that opened last month.

The 2015 Multistrada comes with larger air vents and new headlamps, all LED units with a cornering function. At the heart is the Testastretta L-twin cylinder, dual spark, liquid cooled, engine with Desmodromic variable timing that develops 160bhp at 9500rpm, up 10bhp from its predecessor. The engine also develops 136Nm of torque at 7,500 mated to six-speed transmission.

The Multistrada range is known for its riding modes which adapt the motorcycle to sport, touring, urban or enduro environments at the press of a button. Both the variants features tubular steel Trellis frame. The Multistrada 1200 comes with 48mm fully adjustable USD forks up front and fully adjustable Sachs monoshock unit at the rear while the Multistrada 1200 S adds electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment with Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) at front.

The Multistrada 1200 is tamed by 320mm double disc for front wheels and 265mm disc brakes for rear. On the other hand, the S variant features slightly larger 330mm dual disc brakes for front wheels.

Both the Multistrada models are equipped with Ducati safety pack (cornering ABS + DTC), Ducati wheelie control, cruise control while the S variant boast of full LED headlamp with Ducati cornering lights and Bluetooth module for multimedia system.
