Close on the heels of launching the Multistrada 1200 Enduro in India, Italian sports motorcycle brand Ducati is getting ready for yet another launch in the country. The dealers of Ducati have started accepting bookings for the Hypermotard 939 for a down-payment of Rs. 2 lakh.

Ducati Hypermotard 939 will be priced at Rs. 11.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), as reported by Shifting Gears. The Italian brand is reportedly looking to start the delivery of the Hypermotard 939 in India by September. The bike will be available in two colours â€" Star White Silk and Red.

Ducati Hypermotard 939 will be powered by 937cc, L-Twin cylinder, Desmodromic engine that is tuned to churn out 112bhp of power at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 97.9Nm at 7,500rpm. The engine will come mated to six-speed gearbox. Ducati Hypermotard 939 was previously powered by 821cc engine. The latest engine of the bike is in compliance with Euro 4 emission norms.

Ducati India has recently expanded its Multistrada portfolio in India, adding Multistrada 1200 Enduro. Priced at Rs. 17.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the 1200 Enduro is powered by 1,198cc Testastretta V-twin engine that develops 158bhp at 9,500rpm and 136Nm of torque at 7,500rpm mated to six-speed transmission. Ducati already retails the Multistrada 1200 and 1200 S in India.

Ducati India has dealerships in New Delhi, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune and Bangalore and plans to expand operations across the country. Its product portfolio includes Diavel, Multistrada and Hypermotard family, and Scrambler. The company's high-performance models, like 959 Panigale, 1299 Panigale, 1299 Panigale S, Panigale R and 1299 Panigale S Anniversario, are also available in India.
